Manual Layout Method

  1. Go to Create > Label.
  2. Enter Label and Pin Layer.
  3. Set Height to a small value. Ex. 0.02.
  4. In Label Options section, check Attach, Expand, and Keep Label.
  5. In Auto Step section, check Step and choose Custom.

  1. In Layout View. Place label at exact center of first wire, followed by exact center of second wire. Then verify by checking the end of the array.
  2. Go to Tools > Create Pins From Labels.
  3. Set Object Type to Label and check Attach Label to Pin.
  4. Set Width and Length to height used earlier.

  1. Check Apply, then Ok.

Generated Layout Method

  1. Open Layout XL.
  2. Go to Connectivity > Generate All From Source.
  3. In I/O Pins tab. Select each pin and give it the correct metal pin layer.
  4. Press Update.

  1. Go to Place > Pin Placement.
  2. Select individual pin or whole array.
  3. In Attributes > Edge, choose Top-Level Route.
  4. Select Appy.
