Zettlekasten is simply a framework to help organize your ideas, thoughts, and information. By relating pieces of knowledge and connecting information to each other (by way of hyperlinking), you are replicating a train of thought. By establishing relationships between pieces of knowledge, you are helping retain consumed information allowing your thinking process to grow organically.

  1. Fleeting
    thoughts and ideas captured throughout the day.

  2. Literature
    notes are notes from external resources such as Articles, Books, Quotes, Videos, etc.

  3. Permanent
    refined copies of fleeting and literature notes.

PARA

PARA is a methodology for organizing digital information and activities in a way that is simple, useful, and flexible. PARA itself is an acronym that stands for 'Projects', 'Areas', 'Resources', and 'Archives' - which are the four main categories that make it up.

  1. Projects
    short-term efforts in your work or life that are in progress

  2. Area
    long-term responsibilities that you want to manage over time

  3. Resource
    topics or interests that may be useful in the future

  4. Archive
    inactive items from the other three categories
